History

The school was constructed in 1954. Additional classrooms, library and principal's office were added in 1966. The school has 11 classrooms, library, cafeteria and gym. Student capacity is 275 for grades Pre-K - 7. In 1996 Swords Creek Elementary began housing grades 3-7, while Givens Elementary housed grades Pre-K - 2. In 2017 Givens Elementary School closed and combined with Swords Creek Elementary. The school currently houses grades Pre-K - 7.
